66 fleetside bed install advice needed

I'll be picking up the 66 C10 short fleetside bed today. The bed will be in primer with low profile bedliner inside. The inner fenders will be inplace. I have blasted and painted the 4 cross sills and have a new bolt kit, good wood planks and new bed strips.

Since this truck was almost fully dismantled when I bought it, I need some guidance on how to install the cross sills so I can sit the bed on them and finish the assembly. I've searched this forum & lots of other sources for videos or photos of the total install of the bed on the bare frame and have found nothing for reference.

Can someone I.D. a source for the info I will need? :D
 
Ratsnest I`ll have to look around, my truck was a basket case and I just went with the aluminum diamond plate, one thing for sure is to check the rear bed mount under the tailgate, does it measure out the same as the frame holes, top very rear holes in the frame. If it doese`nt that will have to be changed, I will get back with you one this.

I believe the proper assembly sequence is to bolt the cross sills to the bed, install the wood and then place the bed / cross sills sub-assembly onto the truck. The holes in the bed for the cross sills are not oversized, no room for error. The holes in the frame for the cross sills are oversized, thus allowing you to properly position the bed based on cab location .

Keep in mind I am basing this on how I assembled my step side bed and located it on my frame, so my hands on knowledge may be apples and oranges.

Thanks a lot. That YouTube time compressed video was a hoot. I'll review the other site too. The muffler shop guy won't do the exhaust system without the bed being in place. I bolted it loosely to the cross sills and will take a couple boards to him so he can space the pipes far enough away from the wood. When I get it back, I'll follow your sequence suggestions and start over. ;)
