In this shot, I can't tell whether or not the seal started to come out while I removed the yoke, or if it's been this way for a while--you can see the seal and a bunch of crud in the gap between the seal and housing.

Which vehicle did it come out of?

My 9" with 3.00 gears came out of a 71 Grand Torino. Don't know where to get the 3.50. Anyways make sure the rear is close to stock in width. My rear vacuum plate to vacuum plate is 51" which makes it hard to get any kind of offset. I think stock would be around 55" vacuum plate to vacuum plate. Something to think about.:cool:
