Looks Good!!!!!! I can't wait until I see mine painted.Looks like it will be next spring before I can get mine in the paint room. I like the tires with the aggressive side wall. I have a 4wd Toyota with a set of new Goodyear tires on it. I like rainy days and muddy Ga. roads!!! Melman
Thanks After wrecking the 86, I noticed the frame and rolling chassis were still in good working order. So I set out to find a donor truck that had a straight body. After months of searching, I found a 85 C10 2WD short bed in Fredericksburg Va. that was in better shape than 86. Only the transmission tunnel and cab corners had to be cut out.
thats a good looking project !!! what color is that??? used to have a 4x4 , boy was it fun traded it for a 16ft. bass boat yeah I know crazy but ,I do alot of fishing
Vent Window Pics. After fiddling around with the gasket seals on my old vent windows I gave up and bought 2 new ones from the Chevy dealer. They cost a pretty penny but I was scared after market ones wouldn't fit right. The OEM windows look and fit perfect.

I had to special order the vent windows @ $258.00 for each side from my local Chevy dealer and took about 3 days to come in. Looking back, there well worth every penny.
Jeepers Blue Bowtie thats a good looking truck, but the front reminds me of jeepers creepers. What,s the history behind it?
Not to get side tracked but I 've been working on a side project and want some opinions. I can't come up with a good way to redo a bolt. I tried wire wheel & paint, not to good. I tried sand blasting, etch priming and then paint; looks great until installation (paint chips off). Now I'm looking into parkerizing. It's pretty easy from what i've read, blast off all paint and rust. Then submerge the bolt into 195 degree parkerizing solution for about 5 min. Drop into an oil bath then wipe down after its cool. I've read that OEM used this procedure for many years. So i bought a cabinet from harbor frieght and off I go.
home made moisture barriers Not much energy tonight, just piddling. I come across some scrap 15 mil. (real thick) plastic today at work and a light bulb went off. Thought I would try a make some moisture barriers for the doors. I don't know if these trucks originally came with them, but if not what can it hurt right. Won't know if it really does any good for months but what the hay.
