hey all. i just joined this forum. i got a 64 swb c10 2 months ago. it is in a million pieces but i have inventoried and have everything but a few small items. i have huge dreams for this sweet truck. i am thinking about going with a 396 with a powerglide behind it. maybe droopin it 2 in in the back and 4in in the front, giving it a reall mean stance. already have disc brakes in front and all the parts for the rear as well as power brakes. i've been thinking about putting a stepside bed from a mid ninetys chevy truck on i. i've seen it twice before. also thinking of suicide doors. seen that too and it looks sweet on these trucks. let me know what yall think

I like it all, except the late model bed part. Just my personal opinion, if you like it,,, go for it !!! Suicide doors will be a challenge, good luck.

yea the suicide doors will be a bit of a challenge but i have a buddy who did them to his and he said he'll help me do mine if i wanted. on this truck the front part of the floorpans are rusted out but the back part is not. is there anyone makes a front half replacement? oh and the rockers have NO rust. i was totally suprised!

How are the kick panels right above that rusted out floor ? Check the roof around the drip rail for rot too...
No body makes a replacement part for that part of the truck, strictly doner vehicle stuff...

i'm going to have to replace the kick panels but the drip rail is ok. and if anyone needs a three speed manual trans around memphis, tn i have one that is supposed to be good but im not sure also have the steering column, just make an offer
