Hey big Tim can we get a good look at that motor in your profile pic is that what I think it is ?[/QUOTE] Why yes , yes it is and thanks for noticing......It's a 261 Chevy .030 over with 9.5-1 Jans pistons .125 shaved off the head with resesed valves, porting and .08 decked off the top of the block with head studs installed. The center weight was chopped of the crank and the crank was balanced Custom 4 bolt main caps were made and the rods were shot peen and I beam ground with ARP rod bolts installed. A custom Crowler cam shaft was made and Clifford made an Alum. fly wheel. A custom tunnel ram was made by me as well as a set of S.S. fender well headers. Two Holly 350 CFM Carbs with 50 CC accelerator pumps, Mallory (YC) type distributor, Mallory coil, and Accel 8.8 mm wires were used with an MSD 6A ignition box with timing control. Borg Warner super T 10 4 SPD. with a vertical gate shifter, narrowed 9 In., Strange billet carrier, Detroit Locker with 456 gears. Hamrs, yeah I'm pretty sure I know him. Doesn't he have a Falcon pickup and a old rat rod he's building?
dont know what he is building, he has a fueler he drive for a guy, races around, sac, and where ever, he has a son named toby who wrenches with him, his son still works with me, he just retired
I thought that is what I saw . Like I tell my kids always pay attention . You never know what you may see thanks for sharing looks REALLY REALLY great .
The elusive mount Well here is a photo. This mount is exclusive to the '60-'62 with a 235. This is the only year this mount was used. It has been discontinued for quite some time. No one has it. If you have one, put it on Fleabay, and you will make big bucks. I think I found one in a dealership; we'll know when it gets here.
235 front motor mounts available If anyone is looking for these 235 front mounts, I have a few available from trucks I have parted out. Thanks, Brian cell 507.456.3625
62 Mount up date Well the local parts guy at the Gmc dealership found a new one on the shelf in Pa. Cost me less than 21 american including shipping . One more pebble in the bucket !!
I have a 1962 chevy truck with a 235 (V6) with a 3 speed trans. I want to swap it out with a 283 (V8) but I can't find a bellhousing with hydraulic hook-up on the passenger side. Does anyone know what the GM part # I need is?? I have been searching and found tons of information, but can't find anyone who sells that type of bellhousing.
Do you have the part number. I'm in need of finding one also . everyone is saying that there is four parts to it but mine looks like that picture and only has the rubber part.
