American car manufacturers should switch to a copper/nickel blended tubing. At least it won't rust out in ten years.. Dodge trucks are notorious for rotten brake lines... Yet their never seems to be a recall on brake lines..

Copper lines versus Kunifer10 copper/nikkel/Iron. A happy newyear first of all. If the lines where made of bendable pure copper i would agree, but i wonder if you guys are missing the point that the lines Volker is talking about are made of mixed metalls ; Kunifer10 lines. I wonder if it is (Kunifer10)that NSRA does`nt want to aprove?
engine runs last week i got the insulator for the carbys and now engine is runnig and sounds like a big V8 with my glass pack. enclosed a pic with my new air cleaners. Now i start the swap to power steering.
Carb Issue ? Volker The pictures shows a tube mounted from the carb to the intake. I wonder if it works as the intake normally does`nt give any heat ! The connection should be used for the stove tube that should go to the exhaust pipe and give pre heating to the pot. This stove warms up the bimetal inside the pot and opens the choke normally as it is an YF you have right? It does`nt really show if you have used an adapter or if you welded the exsisting holes and bored/tapt new onces.I want to know what you came up with? The YF carbs i am using are ment for the old standard 235 GM intake as the new dual Fenton or Offenhauser intake do have other measures ! Is there an new type dual intake for sale that measures as folowed; 1.44 inches carb port 2.71 inches bolt studs holes senter/senter I apreceate any suggestions Martinius.
the pics shows an optical failure. the tube (black) from the intake goes to the vaccum port to the power brake and the tube to the carbs comes from my Fenton exhaust. My Fenton exhaust has a hole to mount the warming tube for the carbs. The YF carbs are for a 216 cui. After a call with Tom (stovebolter) i use a file and make the holes wider and use the insulators for the 235 carbs and make my own gaskets. the intake is for a 235. measurement carbs - hole to hole 2 11/16 inch measurement intake - hole to hole 2 15/16 inch inside the port i mounted an aluminium cone for better flow i don't use an pre heating for the intake (between intake and exhaust) because i drive only by normally weather and engine waked up immediately if i turn the key although we have temperature near 0 Celsius
update with pics The power steering is mounted, mounting bracket for the power pump finish and mounted - i found a small power pump from Toyota, really small - pics coming soon, double pulley at the generator mounted and the power steering connected with linkage I think 2 weeks and i can make a test drive

Finish Yesterday i took my truck with all modifications out of garage for a test drive. Power brake: works fine, only a fingertip i need to stop the truck double exhaust: sounds like a V8 - with one pipe as an outlet, glass pack is enough to get a big sound - not too loud and very deep double carbys with Fenton: i feel the power, really i think i have 100HP more, the truck runs great, smooth and quiet. only i can hear the air if flow through the air filter - sounds great in my ears. very funny is follow fact - the truck sounds like a Big V8 inside and then drives with maximum speed of 60mph great understatement power steering: use a Mercedes power pump - a very small version (throw away the idea with electrical power pumps because i don't use the electronic for this pumps.) works fine and very directly. i will try to use a steering damper next week because it's to fast in reaction and i feel like i sit in a big boat if i drive over the street. double pulley mounted on my generator and use a small V-belt to the power pump enclosed few pics - more next week important detail. i use the ORIGINAL shock absorber. on the driver side it needs a lot of modification but i want to hold the most original parts @Zig: sound follow next week

finish pics @Martinius: in the red circle you can see the prop valve position Grrr, after my test drive the radiator have leaks. Now i have to go to make a new one. I think that's the last part to change
