As I recall, tomorrow is Nate's B'day!! Wishing you the very best and a big THANKS for all the help you provide to us guys on the Advanced Designs.....
Thanx ! As it turns , I'm alone in the shop to - day , I was thinking of bugging out to goof off but no , everyone else decided to take VC days so here I am... . I greatly enjoy this forum and all the help and knowledge I get here , it's like being in a great school . I'm getting ready for another Road Rally (O.C. , Mt. Palomar , Anza Borrego Desert etc.) so I've been tinkering on my 1959 Metropolitan Nash FHC , oddly I seem to run through the brake shoes every 8,000 miles or so . Last night was tranny service night , anyone know how to properly adjust the vacuum modulator on a ' JATCO ' Tranny ? (1980 Dastun B210) , I tried Googling it but no joy . I just got some new Bilstein HD gas shocks for my '69 C/10 and can't wait to get 'em on , hopefully next week . My son & DIL are taking me out to dinner to - night .
Happy Birthday Nate Happy Birthday Nate. Petter and his brother Hening Solberg where driving there rally cars for Subaru and Citroen. Man these guys can drive the socks of your shoes. They started as kids on there fathers farm and drove everyone in the neighbourhood crazy with there "carnoize". But man these guys can drive cars. I like road rally very much and use to watch cars racing in the forrest over here in winter time . Best wishes Martinius. PS. Wonder how a Metropolitan Nash would do its job in Road Rally ? Here she comes..........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J0XifGj-qk&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IflqkB_4SQg&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtIXmHmPPU0&feature=related
Happy Birthday, just remember you are not getting older(well maybe a little) but like a fine wine only getting better. steve
Thank You All ! As I rather like my work , it was indeed a nice birthday yesterday . FWIW , the Metropolitan Nash was built by British Motors Corporation , out of MG parts so it handles much better than you'd expect for a cheap economy car . folks are always amazed at how fast it goes in the mountains .
Happy Belated Birthday, Nate. As others expressed, thanks for all the good advice and humor, (both intended, and accidental) that you provide. Very best wishes for many more. Bill
Thanx Again ! It was a *much* busier weekend than I had planned , tranny troubles one day , brother's car fixing Saturday , no 16" 6 lug wheels to be found for my '69 C/10 (yet !) , it rained Sat. night and again on Sunday when I'd hoped to ride my Moto to the Vintage Brit Bike ride , instead my Metropolitan Nash FHC blew a head gasket in the rain..... . Oh well , like you said , another trip 'round El Sol has finished , onwards , always onwards . To -night (Mon. I hope to get my new Bilstein HD shocks on my '69 C/10 , maybe the electric fuel pump too . Anyone know where I can find stock aircleaner & bits for this beast ? . TIA ,
Happy birthday Nate It's allways great you are able to celebrate one each year ! Have a great day. Gene
