Replaced the old 216 in my 53 Chevy, with a 235 out of a 62 Impala. My current oil pressure gauge goes from 0-30 lbs. Question, with the newer 235, do I need to change out my oil pressure gauge with one that goes from 0-60 lbs?? Any help wold be appreciated.

You could change the gauge out to a GMC (60 pound) gauge or you could just use the Nate method.

Nate method is "don't worry about the pressure when the gauge is pegged".

No

These are low pressure , high volume engines so as long as you see the needle off the peg above idle , you're good to go .

Be aware the needle may rest on the peg at idle or so closely you'll have to look with a magnafying glass to see the gap , this is 100 % correct and normal .
