THANKS CHEVY DUTY FOR THE ORDER I ORDERED A BLAZER FUEL TANK, STRAPS AND SENDING UNIT. MY QUESTION IS THEIR ARE TWO FITTING HOLES ON ONE SIDE WHAT ARE THESE FOR AND THE THE ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE IS A VENT LINE AM I RIGHT. ALSO THE SENDING UNIT PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON INSTALLING THIS,AM I RIGHT BY FIRST USING THE O RING THEN PUT THE UNIT IN THEN THE OTHER O RING THEN THE MEDAL TWIST CAP, AS YOU PROBALY FIGURED OUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME FOR ME I AM TRYING TO RESTORE A 64 1/2 TON LONG BED. THANK YOU
Well the two holes your referring to are for fuel injection return lines. As for the sending unit it has a o-ring then the sender then the locking plate. Don't forget to solider a wire on the sending unit and run it over to the frame for a ground. The tank is that was in the truck originally was metal so it was its own ground Rick Bradley tech2@chevyduty.com 816.741.8029 ext. 500 816.741.5255 fax
Cody hasn't posted on here since 2001... this is a 12 year old thread....... Here is another thread that shows a how to on a blazer tank installation: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=74876 and here is another thread showing installation of other tanks: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=453832 Be sure to study the finished installation photos. Some of these tanks, such as the Blazer - CPP - Camaro tanks, are visible hanging down under the truck. This is especially true if you will be running a rear roll pan and not a bumper. Some people don't like this look, some don't care. Since my truck is lowered and I am running a roll pan I ended up using a early 50's Chevy passenger car tank.
