4 - Engine

This is the original Hi-Torque 327. I rebuilt it with a mild cam, Edelbrock Performer intake and Quadrajet. I wanted to install an auto trans but couldn't make myself change out the 3-spd column shift. All the Chevy Hi-Torque engines in '66 were painted gray except the 327 which was green (?!). Also wanted to paint the engine Chevy orange, but I decided to keep it the original color. I added power steering and CPP power disc brakes, and changed the rear gear to a 3:31, which all makes for pleasant driving.
