Mike, Thanks for the advice. It sounds like it is a weekend or two job. I am doing disc front and drum rears. I really want to stay with the stock rims. Where did you get the remote reservior setup? You mentioned some write ups on how to modify the brake lines do you have a link to them or...
Yes, the truck is a 1/2 ton 2WD short bed. You say SHOULD work, is there some doubt? You mentioned modifying the brake lines, does CD sell a kit with all new brake lines for the modification? Also, does the power booster and new master cyl mount right in the same place as the old master...
[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-16-06 AT 08:04 PM (CST)]I have a 235 cid with three speed trans. The rims are the orginial stock rims. Seen the complete kit with booster in Chevy Duty, thought about getting that. Was wondering if it is a weekend project or a more serious job for a mechanic.
I want to convert to disc/drum on my 58 3100 short box. Question, how complicated is the job, will stock wheels (6 lug) still fit, and I want to use a power boost mounted where the stock brake cylinder is located. Any suggestions on parts, kits, etc. Thanks for any help.
Thanks, ordering the shift lever bushings, cheap maintenance and also adjusted the shift lever at the top of column at steering wheel and this took care of the problem. Going to put bushings in anyway just in case. Thanks for the advice.

Have a 58 apache with 3 on the tree and having a problem pulling the shift lever up and into 1st and reverse from neutral or 3rd.. Have not done any work on steering or trans just started in the middle of a drive. Once it is in 1st gear it shifts great. Any ideas on a quick fix?
I am working on a 58 Apache and need rear bumper brackets. I was told that 1960 brackets will work and also draw the bumper in closer? Anyone out there might have a pair of rear 1960 brackets? E-mail me or let me know is they will work. Thanks
I am looking for a pair of rear bumper brackets for a 1958 apache pickup. I was told that 1960 fleetside rear brackets would also work. Does anyone know for sure if 60 brackets will work.
Thanks for the info. Contacted United Speedometer Service. They said around $160 for the speedo and $65 per gauge to recondition and get them back in shape. Was impressed with them and will probably give them the work when I get to that area.
Good luck on a response, been trying to get info and price including the shipping and a place to send $$$$ for everything with no response, left e-mail, phone numbers, etc., begining to think it is all a hoax?
Have e-mailed you several times regarding Inst Cluster, Steering Wheel, Parking Lamp Assy's. Have a 58 Apache that I am starting on and have a long ways to go. Can use all the help that is available. E-mail me at [email protected]
Thanks
