drabo,, did you ever try this?
Im getting ready to take some measurements and maybe try it.
I would rather just bolt something in the there that fits and be done with it.
I have an 84 GMC that the 700R4 went out of and it has a 305 in it that has NO power whatsoever, but starts good, etc.
Ive heard that there is a replacement cam "350" that completely wakes these engines up or is that BS? I also have an older stock 350 engine from the mid 70's sitting here, but...
Im finding some seats, but the salvage guy says they are all "powered" types.
Is there anything else that is a GM bench type that I can put it there instead?
Yupp, I am aware of that and plan to use a tuned cam for it as well.
Torque is what its for... :)
Ive got my tach set on 3K, lol.
45-50mph is running around 2500 or better rpm's and thats where I currently run her with 16 inch wheels and a 4.70 posi re.
After market headers coming for sure...
Thanks... :)
Ive got the mono on my other 68.
One is earlier and one latter.

I wonder if anyone here has tried FI on one of these instead of the massive quadro-jet 4bbl carb and custom intake/exhaust?
I dont want to...
What can I pick up for a seat out of a salvage yard from a newer Chevy truck for my 68 C20 that will bolt in/on and work?
I need a new bench seat or bucket console.
I also would like to find some 18 or 20 inch stock GM rims that will bolt on without being too different or rubbing, etc.
I went...
I have one that is a 1968 and this one was in a 1968 truck of the same ilk.
However, mine does not have the "Chevrolet" logo on the valve cover, etc?
My carb is different too.

Im removing the junk 305 in my 84 GMC 1/2 ton and putting in a 89 efi 350.
I would like to leave the efi throttle body on the 350.
Do I need to do some computer swapping or anything to make it work?
Photos available, thanks.
