    OT Cactus & Succulent Show

I need more Succulents,,,,,,, My wife just had me make her a flower bed just for succulents, mostly Sedum varieties. I wonder if any would tolerate Tennessee? Its a fun little flower bed with rocks and grasses.

why does a head leak oil

Just two thoughts, When a head gasket is blown the vehicle runs and hauls poorly, I thought you had said previously you made a great run fully loaded and the truck ran great. Which would seem that the head gasket isn't bad. Also check with Nate, you can put bolts in the ends of the exhaust...

    water pump pulley

At least you got the right pump. I bought one of Ebay for the smaller pulley and found out mine needed the large belt. I'm a little skeptical about pulling the pulley off, so now I have another extra part.

    Weekend trip to Payson

Charles, You have the best attitude for weekend adventures, seems little irritants like fan belts go with the territory and you take it all in stride.

    Its never easy!

I think the tank is pristine, and the rest looks as good as what I have, I'll have them checked for leaks and low pressure maybe 5 lbs as they are little or no pressure radiators. Thanks And Joe, Thanks for chiming in again. :D

Thanks for the address to the radiator shop. I am on the 107 Cutoff a few miles east of SGHS, not to far from where you were. Stop in next time for a cold one, I won't put you to work I promise.

    Its never easy!

Thanks Nate, I'm happy that Damon is helping me out and trying not to overburden his good Samaritan instinct. You have answered the big question which was can it be done and is it expensive....so yes and no...in that order! makes me happy. I think they collapsed it when draining...and yeah I'm...

I Don't Know What To Do

Sounds like the shop should be helping you. What failed six months ago?

What should I use for a gas tank?

The 47-48' pick-up tank mounts there and also the same or similar tanks were used on the panel trucks for some years later as they didn't have space behind the seats. It opens up your search options a bit.

    Its never easy!

Maybe some brighter minds will chime in. But I would think the core and tanks are the recycle value for you. I'm thinking I just need the frame and top to put my innards back into. Either way I don't mind paying for it. If its easiest for you just to send it all, I can take it from there. Again...

    Its never easy!

Tailgater! Long time no see or hear. Yes, our only honest radiator shop closed here in town. So I can take it up to JC. I'm hoping Sinclair has some good news. You can post here or PM me. Sure miss that old Red Long Truck.

    Its never easy!

I was beginning to feel out of luck. My radiator cools fine and is water tight. Must be much tighter then I thought because i'm sure a great deal of vacuum must have been present to cave in the filler top. If it comes apart then I only need the top brass collar piece which would be basically...

    Alb-PortA or Bust!

Nothing like a good Road trip to get your head in the right place. Hope you met all sorts of nice Folks. I just got back from Italy after three weeks....Its a wonderful world! Amore! Wish I would have had my 47' there. Picture Provence and Tuscany in a 47' Chevy. Glad no major incidents for you.

    Its never easy!

So I got my tax refund and my 47' needed a water-pump. I took it to my local Repair shop, they whined about rusty bolts Yada..Yada. But I'm treating myself to this and no busted Knuckles, this time.:D They got it in alright and no leaks, except...:eek: When they were purging my coolant...
