I used Mar-k's bed kit of white pine for my 59 short bed. I also used their unpolished stainless bed strips and fasteners. I'm very happy with their product. I use my truck as a daily driver and as a pickup hauling stuff, so I didn't really want a finish that was going to get all scratched up...
i haven't been on here much in the last couple of years because I have been spending my project time on my 48 Willys CJ2A.

I still have my 59 and it's still my daily driver. Since I've had it...

Steve,
I had trouble with my light switch breaker always kicking of with my halogen headlights. I finally broke down and put a relay in so the main amperage never hit the switch.

My mounts
Raymond,
My truck is a Chevy. Sorry, I haven't been on the forum in a while and just saw your question.
The mounts work great on my 59 in combination with stock bell housing mounts in the rear.
You should be able to see the mounts in the picture.
Oh man Gerard, that is a bad deal for you. I was really surprised that you had troubles with Keisler because they were great to work with me and their customer service was great. That was 3 or 4 years ago. That bankruptcy news at least lets us know why you are having the trouble you are with them.
Wandering into Willys territory
Mostly a lurker here anymore, but since you guys sort of wandered off into what I'm doing these days. Here's a shot of my 48 CJ2A with my daughter and son-in-law, just out for a little Sunday afternoon trail ride.
If you like old Willys jeeps...
Gerard,
I can't speak for the Muncie 420, but I have purchased a rebuild kit for the T-90 transmission in my 48 Willys CJ2A from Novak and their stuff was top notch. They have great tech information on their website as well.

Just FYI. My 59 has halogen headlights in the High Beam while the low beams are still the old conventional headlights. Every time I switched to high beam the lights would stay on for a few seconds then flicker off. I talked to the the tech support at our host and he told me that halogen...
I had a different brand vehicle with this same sort of problem. Turned out my distributor advance weights and springs were not functioning correctly. Timing was fine at idle but messed up at anything higher than idle. Took the dizzy apart, tightened up the springs and cleaned out all the gummy...
