I'm wondering if anyone has installed a Fulton visor intended for use on a vehicle with a split windshield on a 1954 (or newer) Chevy pickup with a one piece windshield. The styling of the 1954 visor is rather ugly, or at least not as good looking as the older visor. Anyone ever seen this done?
The Fulton visors did have a provision to make them fit on vehicles with a one piece windshield. Any Fulton visor that was originally set up to fit a 2 piece windshield vehicle can be easily converted & adapted to fit a 1 piece windshield vehicle. The center pinch clamps & arms that normally connect to the divider of the 2 piece windshield are eliminated & a cast aluminum roof mount center mounting bracket is then installed on the visor...... We have an extensive inventory of NOS Fulton visor roof mount conversion parts to adapt the visors to fit the one piece windshield trucks....
Fulton Visor Fix Great solution. Does attaching the center bracket require the headliner to be removed or are you using sheet metal screws to attach the bracket to the cab. Or rivets? Is there a gasket that goes between the bracket and the cab. What is the cost of the unit, visor included?
No need to remove the headliner as the roof mount attaches with screws or pop rivets. There is a gasket but the originals are a soft rubber & turn to dust in quick order. We always replace the original rubber gaskets with a leather gasket. PM us for more info. on a complete visor.
Fulton Visor Fix I'm new to this forum so not sure how to send private message. I added you to my contact/friend list. I'd like to know how much a complete unit would cost to fit a '54 3100, including the fancy bracket!
Log on ... then look in the upper right corner of the screen. Under the spot that says... Welcome KBarnes.... is a line that says.. "Your notifications".... click on that & you can view the PM we sent you.

Fulton Visor for 1947 Chevy Fleetline Aerosedan Hello Dead Zone Truckin, I recently purchased a '47 Chevy Fleetline Aerosedan 2-door that has a one-piece windshield installed and want to mount a Fulton Sun Visor. Would you happen to have a "roof mount" bracket that would fit this application? Note that the roof comes to a slight "peak" and a flat bracket will not work. Thx, Nag's 55
The Fulton roof mount won't work on vehicles with a peaked roof. Fulton's answer to that problem was the adjustable stainless center prop. It attaches to the existing holes on the underside of the center panels & then attaches directly to the cowl .
Hello Dead Zone Truckin, I am trying to track down a fulton visor roof mount for my 1951 Buick Roadmaster which has a one-peice windshield. Would you happen to have any info or roof mounts that would fit? Thanks
Dead Zone Truckin, I know this thread is pretty old but do you still have any of those brackets to attach the 47-53 visor to a 54 truck? If so, I would like to get one, please PM me your info and we can go from there. Thanks,
You are not gonna be able to "Cherry Pick" just the brackets from us. All we sell are complete restored or NOS visors. .
I know its a old thread but had to say something. I love the look of Fulton visors and did not want to go with a one piece on my 54, I was lucky enough to locate one from a friend with the roof mount and NOS in the box still
