I made me own fueltank out of stainless the website from cpp has al the sizes wat you need to buildt your own .well keep use posted.
why don't you put a new floor and rockerpanels in that cab .

pressure test the cooling system .
take the radiator cap off and look for airbubbels coming up when the engine is running ,if you do then the head gasket is blown.
I put cross grooves what runs from the main groove to the out side for to drain the water you don't see the grooves its coverd by the steel strips.

A bad cable connection could do it ,I would clean all the connections including the ground , good luck
