I took a '57 side mount 235 and put it in my '48 front mount. I had to drill a couple of holes in the bottom flange of the timing cover plate....
Oil pressure gauge I bought the 1/8 copper tube at the local autoparts store. It came as a kit with compression fittings.
Thank God That you have great oil pressure. For the 47-54 they make 60psi guage replacements. I'm not sure about your 46...have you checked...
