Okay~ Here's the deal. It helps to look closely at the pictures in the manual. The spring I couldn't find is for the bigger trucks, not mine....
Yes The 1/2 ton straight axle fits right onto the 3/4 leafs.
Or, you could drill the cab latch bigger to slide it inwards! This thought just came to me! ;)
