With newer 4bbl I bought the TL from the sponser as well, and after looking at several pics of stock setups, I have installed it on the Cameo, yet I am still having some binding issues. Is anyone running this setup on a sb chev with an Edelbrock? Pics?

I have a 55 Cameo, and the bed wood is still perfect after all of these years! I was thinking of Cherry wood, or something like that to accent the red in the bed (whenever I get around to painting it) but the original wood is so durable, I'm just going to refinish it!

The frame is still sitting in the same place, waiting to be finished. My brother isn't very reliable, and I am about to snag it from him and have someone else do the welding. The main problem I have is that I don't have anyplace to store it, or else it would already be finished!

I have the front end of an 81 Z28 tacked under the front of my truck, have been waiting for my brother to finish it up since December!

I have a disk brake conversion kit that i will let go for $300 plus shipping. I was going to use it untill I discovered my frame had been rewelded and will now be replacing the junk part with a Camaro front clip.

Ok, here is the latest in the truck chasis saga! I have aquired a 81 Z28 that I will be using the front clip and rear end from. Updates as I start the process!

The only problem I see with tese kits is the prce. First I have to get a chasis, then I must buy the kit for what looks like around $1500. I figure I could have a Camaro subframe installed, and rebuilt for around $500.

You can use either grill in all three trucks, (55-57) the only difference being that the '57 fenders had a little notch taken out of them to clear the flair at the bottom for the "teeth" I am sure there is a bolt you may be missing, and yes, I have done this with my own truck, a '57 3100...

The difference in wheelbase is 1 inch, so its not of any concern, as far as cab mounts go, thats no big deal either, as these things can be changed with a little welding and drilling. I will be checking the track width, and if this is close, I may do the swap.

Great, I will be doing some measuring over the weekend to see if I can just swap my '57 body to the '63 Frame.

What are the differences between the 63 GMC and Chevy suspension systems? I am thinking of using the suspension from the GMC 1/2 ton shortbed frame I have for my '57 1/2 ton shortbed. I see a lot of kits listed for the Chevy, but no mention of the GMC application. Are they the same or what?
