I have a 99 Chevy Tahoe with no A/C. I've checked the relay, fuses and pressure but the compressor will not come on. I have 12VDC going into the back of the compressor. I jumped out what I thought was the low pressure switch (located on top of the compressor at the low pressure hose). Is this...
What year power steering box do we use to add power steering to 1960-66 trucks? With the truck running I can only turn left but if I shut it down I can turn the wheel to the right. I'm thinking it is either the box or I have something in the line. Let me know what you think.
I just want to put it out there I'm not a huge fan of this program. 1. What about those people that already bought fuel efficient vehicles. 2. It is going to drive up the prices of used cars and make it harder to find a good used truck/suv. 3. These motors, cpu's and transmissions would make a...
I have recently been having some electrical issues with my 66 and I thought I should share them. I am an electrician by trade and thoroughly enjoy an electrical challenge. This one nearly had me stumped. Here is my set up. I have the stock style alt with an OEM type external regulator and a...
Just thought I would share this with ya'll. Driving to work this morning I snapped the lower control arm U-bolt. It caused the tire to go 45degrees under the truck and nearly sent the whole truck into a very large ditch:eek:. You could say I had the pucker factor going on. Needless to say I'm...
Pulled the old 283 over the weekend and freshened it up for its trip to Florida. Sorry no before pics. Installed new gaskets, water pump, H/V oil pump, Performer intake, cam/lifters and a fresh coat of Chevy orange.
Any one else having problems with the fuel sender. A friend of mine has a 2006 Z71 and the fuel sender just quit (I guess it couldn't handle the cold). The bad part is, it is part of the fuel pump assembly and the cost is over 300.00. It's a crying shame you have to spend that much to fix the...
I was thinking about installing a Edelbrock performer intake on my 283. My question is there going to be any problem installing this sine there is a PVC valve on the back of the block. Or do I just cover it up with the new intake and install a new PVC valve in the valve cover?
I have a 1963 Chevrolet front grill I want to get rid of. The grill is in fair condition. Has a little surface rust, about 100 coats of paint and a small dip in it. All in all it is still good and usable, just needs blasing and paint. Just pay shipping cost. Just a reminder I live in Alaska...

It's sweet up to the Ford motor. Wonder if they can build it with Chevy power?
