    Disc brake conversion

Having rear trailing arms/coil springs, will any '73 and up 5 on 5.5 truck rear swap right into my stock rear's place? I have a friend that has the front set up out of a '72,so I'm good there. I will just need to locate a rear end.

    Transmission crossmember

If you have it bolted to another mount, like the one right behind the engine, you should be fine.

It kinda sounds like the vaccum advance on the distributor is bad. Does it do it at all at low speed acceleration?

    Disc brake conversion

The '71 C10 I had sported front disc/rear drum. It stopped fine and I never personally saw a reason to go 4 wheel disc, ease of brake repair alone would make me lean to the rear swap as well though. I HATE DRUM!

    Transmission Suggestions

A good all around tranny and easy to find and cheap- TH350 (Turbo 350) It is all I have ever ran behind a small block. I now run an external cooler instead of running the lines to the radiator, this makes the tranny run cooler, espically when pulling a load like I often do. I bought a nice...

    center console

Are your seats aftermarket or take-outs from a late model?? I was going to put buckets in mine eventually and build a nice furniture quality wood console with cup holders,cd storage etc. You might check JC Whhitney, they normally have a little bit of everything in there. A carpet coverd console...

    Engine upgrade

Measure the length of the tranny's. If they are the same, your good. If not all you have to do is take a good measurement from your yoke (on the rear end) to the tail shaft on the turbo 350 transmission you mentioned to a driveshaft shop and they will do the rest. Normally about $40 to have one...

    Upgrading to a 350

The two blocks them self are pretty much the same besides displacement. The only reason you would even have to change out the drive shaft or anything else behind the motor is if you swap to a different transmission. All of your accessories will bolt right up depending on what year model the 350...

    Carberator

Can you find a MFG name on it? It is most likely a quadrajet. Try doing a search i.e. Goggle,MSN etc. and see what comes up. Type in part numbers, carb kit etc. with as much info you have and see what you come up with. This has worked for me on some hard to find stuff.

    steering wheel removal.

Spray some liquid wrench on the spline part of the column, let it soak for a day or so, I have had to do this as well as use a propane torch to heat it. Hope you don't mind torching your wheel...:D
