I posted step-by-step photos in my build thread (except for packing the bearings). Neither the Speedway kit, nor our host's kit were direct bolt-on installations. Modifying the steering bump stops and/or the caliper brackets is necessary to gain needed clearance. The caliper brackets are the same in both kits, Speedway farms out the brackets from Classic Perfromance Products in California (as does our host). There's a relatively detailed discussion about dealing with this in my build thread, if you're interested in reading about the experience I had.

What is the most common set up?

I have not given alot of thought to a booster. I will have to research that a bit. If I do I want to keep it below the floor for sure.

Researching dual master cylinders and prop valves now.

I had 4 wheel disc and ran a 67-76 Corvette manual master. Worked pretty well. Used a Master power adapter mount.


I ordered a bolt in (It wasn't by any stretch of the word) power MC kit from Ebay. It looked great, didn't fit at all. 3 days of swearing and cutting and hacking and welding........brakes weren't much improved.

Should have spent $$$ on power steering instead.
