More of a bed case the clips in the bed . What kills rust dead ? How do i know its dead ? I bought a new pressure sand blaster what is as good as sand with out the vapor risk ? Can it be reused ? What does a cab weigh in at ? What questions did i forget to ask ? :D

Nothing kills rust. You can either encapsulate or remove it. POR-19 is a good product to use but you can't prime and paint over it. It is a good product for the cab floor. Navel jelly is good a removing rust and can be purchased at the hardware store. Try baking soda for media blasting. No matter what you media blast there is going to be a dust hazard. Just wear at least a mask or if you have one a half face resporator. It can be reused but it has to be sifted. Take a piece of screen and rubber band it to a bucket and pour the old media onto the screen. Do not reuse any media that is wet. It will plug up the gun.

Thanks I posted pics in the photo section motor has something missing from in front of dist but behind fuel pump . If i understand lack of oxygen controls rust like sealing a battery post . Read about a product called rust mort at local bumper to bumper .Ever herd of this ? thanks Joel.

Blast then epoxy prime

Blast with your preference of media (fly ash from a power plant is my preference for heavy metal, for sheet metal I hire a company that uses baking soda). Then seal promptly with epoxy primer.

Actually there are products now that, while not really removing the rust, get rid of it by converting it, chemically, in to a stable substance. Many of them can be painted over. The Navy even approved one for use in submarine bilges a few years before I retired from service. I used one on my bed frame. I forget the brand name off of the top of my head, but I can get it pretty easily. It can be purchased at auto parts stores.

Thanks for the input it is currently monsoon season here in Ga. Soon it will stop I will begin !:D

Hey Dado, the hole you are referring to is where a road draft tube goes. A very primitive type of crankcase ventilation.

This is a late model 235 that I dropped in my '50 that shows the road draft tube.

I helped the greatest teacher in the world, my dad. Too bad he never saw this engine in his truck! Thanks for the kudos, if you want to see what it looks like in his truck, check out the pics in my member's gallery!
