What is your best gueass on this problem.
Runs starts easy runs well for a variable number of miles then starts to sputter no power nearly dies but will idle choking helps a little but not much then all of a sudden will take off and go great for a while.
Carb kit put in, new fuel pump and added a fuel filter, which it never had originally.
Does it sound like a fuel or electrical problem
Any thoughts

Could be ignition condensor going south. They start getting weird from heat when they are starting to fail. Might be time for points, condensor, cap & rotor....

It sounds like a choke deal but I've seen the same thing happen with a bad condensor.
