For a while now I have been thinking about swapping out my inline 6 for a 283. I am not sure whether I have to change my engine mounts. I also have a 4 speed trans that is already in the truck and I was wondering if I would have to change the bell housing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I swaped a 6 cylinder 250 for a v-8 283,I used the 6 cylinder motor mounts they work fine.
