I'll check that also, diidn't have the problem until I wanted to upgrade things. Have wanted to put in a electric fuel pump all along just hadn't gone and bought one.
I wonder ; Did you ever do a basic siphon test ? . if there's anything in the tank or the line leading to the fuel pump , it'll do just this . Fuel MUST GUSH out the fuel pump's inlet line or it simply won't work .
