I have a buddy that runs a fiberglass shop. Their shop truck is a 65. Everything but the cab is fiberglass. He builds some of the best glass parts(sorry truck parts are just for himself)! Wish I could talk him into building me a pair of front fenders. He dislikes his hood. It fits great, but in the sun the glass cloth "prints" through the paint. It is so much lighter that he has rubber spacers in his hood springs so they don't pull to hard. The cheap fiberglass parts don't have cloth in them. They are all mat, and sprayed with a chop gun. That makes a very high resin content. The good fiberglass parts have only enough resin in them to "wet" the fiberglass. His fleetside bed mold is made 3" wider on each side and the sides are made in 3 seperate pieces. That gives him enough room to carry 5 gallon buckets of resin in the bed sides. They side parts are hinged at the top rail and arch up to open. The center section above the wheelwell holds rolls of fiberglass. The bed floor is still 4' wide to haul sheet material.
