I believe Chevy Duty has a tank with straps etc. for this type of modification. I can tell you how I did it and you can read about it on my web page below.
The tank is custome built for '60 vintage trucks and fits well with minimal grief. I had to install a sending unit and run a new fuel line to the mechanical fuel pump but beyound that its straight foward. Good luck.http://www.geocities.com/richmond2_99/64PU.html
