I have a 50 as a toy and just bought a 79 to use as a work truck
bought it from a relative fairly cheap, but, the transmission is out of it (350TH). I have checked salvage yards and found that this tranny is getting rare (it is a long tail shaft). Has any one ran into this with their truck in the forum. I thought all the older trucks and Impalas had the long tail shaft. Why is it getting harder to get the long tail shaft 350TH.
