A very Special Guest graced my house tonight!

I can't tell you how fantastic it was to have our very own Evan stop by my house tonight! His passenger, his lovely bride! Time constraints as they were, my time was spent largely with Evan as they were off to find a place to shower/stay for the night, and sadly, that place wasn't here.
But to just have a chance to meet a legend and talk with him about this that and the other thing was a dream come true!
It was also fantastic to find out that he and his wife are very familiar with my old stopping grounds down at Hurlbert Field/Eglin AFB!
Seems we both got stuck in the sand down there!
Anyway, Evan shared some wisdom on how I can do a few body mods to the bedsides/dash of my truck that I look forward to doing! SOON!
I also love his mode of transportation he showed up in!
I like a straight 6, but how can you argue with a straight 8?!
Keep these two in your thoughts as they head back down to Texas. Unfortunately, lots of rain coming again.

Thanks for the tour and grace shown by you and your family. I really admire what you and all the others working on a budget and with limited facilities can accomplish. The old "G" is something than can be driven with pride. I think thin diamond plate that can be formed around the hole along with a matching dummy one on the other side would look better than a patched in piece from another board. If you had a welder then a exact fit patch that was butt welded in would do but overlapping contoured pieces might not turn out well. Thanks for putting up with us;
