any ideas?

Just received my clutch head screwdrivers from chevy duty and tried to get the screws out that hold my front fenders to the front grill piece
but they are painted on and probably not been off since 1959. Will i have to cut them off? I would like to make my front look like rudy hindelangs yellow 59 if ya'll seen it it appears he welded all of this together as one piece. but how did he install headlights?

rusted fasteners need some penetrating oil and some impact tools,such as a hand held or pneumatic with the proper clutch attatchments

Had the same problem with removing some of the clutch heads on my 58. I used some paint remover to get all the paint out of the holes so the screwdriver would go all the way in. That and a lot of brute strength got them out. Also helps to put some penetrating oil on the screws as well.

When working on vehicles as old (rusted?) as ours you have to apply whatever persuasion is necessary to break things loose. If penetrating oil doesn't work you may have to grind the heads off and/or try drilling them out with a drill bit smaller than the bolt size you're working with. Sometimes it takes a lot of patience to keep from damaging the part you're working on.

When there is no risk to burn what's around, the best way is to heat the rusted screws with a torch. Heat them til they are red and 9 times on 10, you win.If no,try again and heat more.

Break or disc everything is sometimes faster but not always possible.
