Battery Cable

I have been having a problem with my '53 3100 (6 volt). It starts great when cold but once she warms up and I shut her off she won't restart.?.
I heard on this forum that this could be a battery cable issue and saw a recommendation of using "0" gauge cable.

1. Is this stock and if so, is Chevy Duties "0"?
2. Am I even on the right track?

That happened to me once, turned out to be the starter brushes. Don't know if you can just get the brushes anymore or if you have to replace the starter to find out if this is your problem. Good luck.

It might be possible that the cable is the problem, You would have to measure the resistance of the cable when its hot. The cable would have to be in very poor shape for this to happen. I would make sure all of the connections are good and clean first.
