Brake and clutch pedal rubbers

Anyone know where to get properly fitting brake and clutch pedal rubbers? The ones our host sells ($7 a set) are too small for the rubber to properly wrap around the rubber. They probably need an additional 1/8" or so across the "pocket" on the back side. I can force them on, but the edges of the rubber pooch out. They are good for a year or so and then fall off. Putting them back on only lasts for one or two trips to town.

Steele has a set for $35. Anyone tried them? I'd pop for the many extra bucks if they'd work for 10 years or so.

I have always been hard on the rubber clutch/brake pedals.
Think I bought a set from LMC 8-10 ? years ago and bought
another set from " CP" vendor and have had them in the burb-for
about 7 months. Look and Fit the same

I just sat them in the sun while doing a few other
things . Warmed them up and placed the " keeper heel edge
over bottom metal lip and rolled and pushed them over
on 3 sides Working them easily over
the pedal edges The one edge that has a slight -
reduced edge > ) < was the last area --
Hey Bill maybe you just have FAT metal pedals ?

Those are the ones from " CP" and as I said they fit good !.
Never having had an issue with the rubber pedal covers ?
Beats me- and would add when I bought the ones from LMC
I bought three-but the old one on the E-Brake pedal was good !
When I bought the more recent ones-- I compared the LMC and
CP rubber pedal covers and they were identical - Don't know what
to add other than Thanks for the "Diagram" you sent me earlier..

I clean the steel pedal operating room clean and scuff the rubber on the pad. Then coat with windshield urethane rubber sealant and the pads are in place till they WEAR off. Forget about removing them without trimming with a knife and knocking the remainder off with a stiff wire brush in a drill. Let set 24 hours after coating with the urethane.

I've been very happy with every Steele Rubber product I've purchased .

On my '49 3100 I could always find old stock pedal covers at the local Auto Jumbles cheaply ~ as mentioned they were a b*tch to install but wore like iron .
