The 350 SBC in my ole Hot Rod Model A broke a #4 intake valve spring. I replaced it today and was pleased to discover that the valve wasn't bent.
Cam:
10.25 : 1 Compression
Any engine guru's here? Wondering if I was just lucky that it didn't bend a valve, or is this S.O.P.?

The Model A is a dream to work on.... almost as easy as working on the engine while it's on an engine stand... almost

Intake: 488 lift, 234 duration
Exhaust: 510 lift, 244 duration
Exhaust: 510 lift, 244 duration
