Car Show Question

I have a beautiful 1959 Apache that still has the original generator. I plan to show the truck as stock.

Would I be ruining my chances of winning by replacing the generator with an alternator?

 

I think somebody makes an alternator that looks like a generator. Can't remember where I've seen it. Maybe somebody else knows?

 

It will in a judged show like sema but not the in the local shows.
