Chev 250 swap?

Is it possible to swap out the 216 motor with say 1970 250 six? I have a 1949 1/2 ton. Thanks in advance Don
 
[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-02 AT 01:54 AM (CST)]My 1964 Chevy C-10 originally came with a 292 I-6, but when I bought it someone had changed it's engine to a 75 model 250...Everything matched up just fine, but they did a crappy job of changing it over to HEI instead of points ignition. Good luck, though.
 
The 250 is a completely different block then the 216.You would have to change bellhousings and fabricate some mounts.
