have anyone took out the ac unit and all the hoses and cover the hole on the backwall?

I know there are some a/c delete panels you can buy, but they can be pretty pricy:

You could also get a non-a/c donor truck, but the holes for the heater core are different, and you will need to fill the hole for the evap core as well.
