Any one running corvette suspension? My chassis is almost complete, using 96 vette suspension. Thinking of changing my mind again, and going with ford 9 inch and vette up front. I have another chassis to start. Just wanted to find out ride quality........thanks...........

Hey,

I did one a while back for a guy and when i drove it it was a great ride. I would leave it all vette. But if you are doing pro strret or a high horse motor i would go 9 inch.

Cliff, you know if the vette rear end out of a 96 would handle 500 horses? It's not the dana 44........ Not planing on dogging it, just want the torque........Thanks P.S. Pic of chassis in my profile........

Thank you for the compliment......
Yes I built it this past , well spring till summer, I did a camaro subframe on one, but liked the look of the corvette. it's alot lighter than the 9 inch i have ......Bought a tube bender, used it just for this project, now it sits.........I rather tackle the job myself than pay someone...........I have relitives in Rockland, Sac town, and the bay area.....

Ya i did the maro clips before all the front suspension stuff was available. Now the 73-81 maros are getting to hard to find to be cost affective. The kits now are pretty good on the pocket book so thats the way to go now.I am about 20 min north of sac and 5 mins from Rocklin. The vettes stuff looks killer when the frame is all painted and the bodys on and you look under it at the show.I do all the work myself as you know every body wants a small fortune for almost nothing. The work you did on that frame is sweet so i know the rest will look just as good.I would like to see pics of your truck as you go it would be great!!

You bet, I will post pics as i move along.......I just have to locate some front fenders to be complete, Rusty fenders in this area.........and thanks for the compliment.........p.S. how far from Yuba City/ Marysville? My uncle has a bbq place around there

Been using the c-4 vette stuff on The ADs and a few other hot rods for many years. Works well and is cheap. Exhaust is a pain and like was said if your going to run big HP the niner is stronger.Dont use a vette rack its too quick..adapt the t-bird rack to it...much better. I also did a 57 with total cost and it rode allmost as well...more money but much easer to do

c-4 suspension

I have a 1955 Gmc truck I put a 1987 c-4 vette on the front from flat out eng. and I have a 80 camaro rear end with fat man 4 link from no limits.
The installation was easy for the c-4 and 4-link. Not sure about the ride yet still puting truck together. I put a 95 lt1 with 4l60E.
