Door Seal Glueing

Greetings,
I am about to glue on my door seals and noticed that it seems the original ones were glued on the inside edge as well as the outside.
Does anyone have some input on this?
Do I need to glue the inside edge?

I just glued the outside as well, has never been an issue, the only part that has been an issue is the lower portion just above the trim plate on the sill gets kicked a lot just about gone after twenty years....
