Looking for a little help.... I cant seem to get my drums off. I can turn them. shouldnt they just pull off. i have taken a hammer and brass punch and tried to knock them off with no avail. any ideas would be appreciated.

The rear drums slide right off but if you have the original front drums they are riveted. So I'm going to assume that you are having a problem with the front. Remove the dust cap, cotter key and spindle nut. After that the assembly should slide right off. Use a grinder and remove the rivets and seperate the two pieces. Repack the bearings and replace the hub on the spindle. The new drum can now slide on and off. You do not need to replace the rivets, they are for assembly line assembly.

drabo, thanks for the response. I will try this evening. As long as this tropical storm finds its way outta here.
Ill let you know how it turns out.

try backing off the adjusters. sometimes the drums get a recess worn into them, the brake shoe will sit in the recess and therefore keep the drum being unable to be removed
