I believe they were all mechnical. I wish someone would repop the guages in electric.....

These guys http://www.speedometershop.com sell an electic temp gauge as part of their AD gauge set. I don't know if they sell the temp gauge as a separate product.

The Dubble Dutti F.C. Vans had them in both 6 and 12 volt versions.....
Of course , finding one of those vans nowadays , even as a Junk Yard fence , is pretty remote .
IIRC the AD style gauges were used i them up through the 1964 model year , the coils were either red or green depending on 6 or 12 volts , I no longer remember with was which tho' .
