Hi all,
I have a "new" project (1949 3100) I am about to start and would like to put a new IFS on it. My understanding is that a 1/2 ton IFS will fit on it with a 1/2 inch plate on each side. My question. I have a 3/4 ton rounded up as a ossibe donor. Are the framess the same width and will the IFC fit on my 49?

but it only required a 3/16 plate on each side of the frame.
It works great, he used a column out of a astro van,had to bend the mount plate then it bolted right up.
ONLY ON A CHEVY !!!!!!!!!!!! this setup will require after market eng and tranny mounts.
My 48 is next
