Am installing a 1959 235 in a 1950 pickup 3100 the front motor mount plate has been switched and the mount fits but the front mount oil shield is in the way of the larger harmonic balancer on the 59 I can customize it to make it work but does anyone know of a shield you can buy that might fit. thanks for any help in this matter P.S the one from classic truck parts is about 1/2 inch to large
I have not tryed to pry it not enough play but it does look like i might be able to create a smaller cover that might fit just was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem thank larry 48
I had to do a little custom hammer clearancing on the 53 I just put a 235 in. Just message the front edge, keep an eye on the shape of the rest of it, though.
