I have a 77 Chevy C10 that I am restoring and have a question that hopefully can be answered. As you all know, these trucks and their filler necks are a pain on fill up because you have to sit there and baby sit the nozzle so that it doesn't fall on the ground and you cannot fill the gas too quickly because if too much comes out of the nozzle too quickly then it just comes right back out at you. so my question is, is there something out there that is a kit of some sort to modify this little problem? I am getting ready to replace the whole tank, lines, sending unit,... so I figured that this would be a good time to try and solve this. Another idea I had was to install a rear mount tank to where the filler neck was behind the license plate. Has anyone actually done this kind of set up on these truck and if so, is it a pretty straight forward modification. of course, after you do this, you'd want to do the body work to fill in the original hole for the gas but that is besides the point at this time
Anyway, any info on this subject that you can give me would be VERY useful. I'm just trying to get all my information so that I can properly plan out my next steps. Thanks
