Just a teaser, why because I can, but mostly because I forgot to take pictures:rolleyes: It is hand made and it is for my truck.

I will post up some pics of it tomorrow. It doesn't quite fit yet as it needs some trimming. But I was totally surprised by it! Awesome gift. Plus he made it by hand. Which means a lot to me.

Anyway any guesses.

A rack for the bed! (Bedside racks, whatever you want to call them...)
I got it, Right???
Very practical! (Especially the way you use your truck!)

Gee, I hope it's bed siderails... I want some, and wanna see others in order to decide how to do them! Plus, if it's from your Grandpa, it's gotta' be special. Merry Christmas ;o)

You both are on the right track, but its not bed rails...
It was a big surprise for sure. I had no clue! And yeah its awesome that he made it for me!!!
I will post up the pic this afternoon.:)

Well since I am getting older and I forgot to take a picture at lunch today. My son, now 21 months old is a blast and I just have so much fun playing with him. So I forget...

I promise I will get some pictures up here tomorrow, and hopefully tonight.

But it is made of wood, but not bed sides...

My grandfather gave me a set of home made car ramps made out of wood when I was in my early 20's. They are hell-for-stout, like everything he made.

He passed last year, 95 years old... I'll have the ramps 'till death do us part.

Grandpa's are great.

Thats awesome! Sorry to hear about your loss. My other grandpa passed away 3 years ago. He was only 76. 95 is amazing!

They are great. I have some of the best memories with both of my grandpas. I lived 3 blocks from one and 7 from the other. Awesome!

Alright here it is! I still need to do some trimming on the back white part so it will fit, but its a custom tailgate!

Can't wait to get it on the truck!

Amen to that, Nate. Unfortunately, both of my grandpas passed away before I was born, so I wasn't lucky enough to know either of them. From the stories I've heard... I'm a lot like both of them! :D

And that is an awesome tailgate!!!!

That is w-a-y cool, Brian! I'm just afraid you won't be loading your wagon up like you use to now that you have that on the back! Is that his way to make sure you quit carrying oversized loads? ;)

I am really surprised that Charles didn't guess he made you a giant tooth pick! Ya know~ to get all the corn out from between them teef on that GMC grill.

C'mon, Charles~ How'd you pass that up?

Yes, I am truly blessed to have known very well both my grandpa's. I even knew 3 of my great great grandpas really well also. So I got it installed on the truck today. It just slides into place instead of my old wooden one. I had to trim the extra white backing plate just a bit.

Paul, there is no way I will quite hauling loads;) What would my long long GMC do:)??? I can always put in my old tail gate for that;)

I too am surprised no one commented on this.... Must have been too much egg nog this year;)
