Once again, I am in need of advice. My truck now has the motor and trans sitting next to it, the front clip behind it, and one door at work and one door at home! All in primer/baremetal. And it's committed to a 1000+ mile road trip the first weekend in June.
What I am wondering about is, I'm putting in a new 350 Goodwrench engine (240hp) w/ an Edelbrock performer intake & carb fairly soon. I am now searching for a set of headers that won't stick below the frame of my truck, as I want to lower it in the near future. So, if anyone has used a set with success before, let me know. And a cheap, quality (that's an oxymoron) set is what I have my eyes on. Or would you advise to sandblast and coat the stock manifolds?
The truck is a 1970 GMC 2WD 3spd 350/4barrel with standard heads. Any help would be greatly apprechiated.
Thank you for your time,
