LOL hahaha Bev the owner of the 100% original cars is in her 70's. These were her late husband's toys. My friend Gordon with the Spirit Of America Nova takes care of her cars for her. When her husband died last year she sold the 1940 Ford truck and the 1971 Cuda. She told me I can come use her shop any time. She is glad that its getting used. So now I have access to a lift any time. So in return I help clean her garage and help Gordon maintain the cars. Here is what her shop looks like from the out side. Yesterday I installed a new set of plug wire looms. I think it makes my engine look fatter. It needed it cause my small block looked so tiny in that big ole engine bay.
Getting the Chevy ready for another charity car show for the local food bank. I went out to wash the truck but got side tracted. I ended up taking sand paper to the Hood Center Strip. I sanded through black primer, gray primer, black paint, orange paint down to the stainless steel strip. I took a picture with my phone
Nice! Great details. I hope my project is as successful as yours is. This fall after boating season is over, Im putting the boat in storage so I can have the garage for the 51.
Tits! I think I've said it before, but I'll say it again- I'm a fan of your truck! What a cool (I won't call it a garage) studio!!! What a great space to "create"! I'd post pictures of my garage, but I wouldn't want to make you envious... Harrrr de harrr-harrr!!!!!!
Today some friends and I entered a local cancer charity carshow. I was in the rat rod, Gordon drove the 1929 Model A Delivery (powered by Chevy) and Tom was in his 70 Nova with the 468 Rat motor. Tom won best 70's car and I won best under construction. Below is a little info about the Charity carshow followed by pictures. SpringFest has something for everyone! In an effort to lure even more families and vendors, the fifth annual Chino Valley SpringFest will reintroduce a couple of added twists later this month. The popular, free-admission town festival on May 31 will not only expand to the more spacious Chino Valley Aquatic Center multipurpose fields at 1525 N. Road 1 East, which are situated several hundred yards away from the fest's 2007 perch at a small Community Center Park athletic field. It also will welcome automobile enthusiasts for the SpringFest Car Show. When the festival began several years ago, organizers situated the event on the 12-acre aquatic center fields, complete with a car show. That was not the case this past year. "Basically, the whole Community Center Park complex is going to be filled with vendors and tents," Chino Valley Aquatic Center director Jason Kelly said of SpringFest, which is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and wrap up at 7 p.m. on the 31st. "Being on the new facility, we expect the event to grow in volume all the way around." Registration for the car show will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. that Saturday before leading into a six-hour event concluding at 4 p.m. Parks and Rec, the Chino Valley Rotary Club and Prudential Northern Arizona Real Estate are sponsoring the show. Organizers plan to give away goody bags and T-shirts to the first 150 cars to arrive. Door prizes, music and food also will be available. Each of the car show's participants pays an entry fee of $10, plus a can of food. Entry proceeds go to benefit the "Sunshine Kids," a nationwide, Houston-based charity for cancer-stricken children, while the Chino Valley Food Bank receives the non-perishable food items. Say Hay! from central California, an '86 visitor to Prescott from nearby (sort-of) Wenden, via scenic Congress & Yarnell. Nice work on the pickup. I wish I would have kept the '53 (3rd owner, all of us in town) I bought for $300 and sold for $300. Damm youngsters....don't know nothing.
new'er Harley Davidson tail lights on the truck I pulled the HD tail lights off my 1971 chopper when I added some custom bullet ones a while back. These old ones were sitting in a box in my garage. So I pulled off the autozone plastic cheapy ones and replaced them with chrome Harley Davidson ones. Old plastic light New chrome light Here is the turn signal lit up. How I ran the wires into the stake pocket. side view ( you can also see the tap on my kegarator in the background) had the flashers on and took the shot when the lights were lit up.
