wood bed Thanks for the detail and pics as I am about to tackle my bed. I am having trouble getting the side rail bolts out but patience will persevere.
I saved the entire thread to my computer! Hey, for anyone who may not have internet access everywhere, as in when I go down to work on my truck, I Highlighted the entire thread and 'Save as' a document on my hard drive. Now I can look up anything I need without the need for internet access. I can print a couple of pages for detailed instructions, etc. I'd still buy a copy of the book when it comes out, though.
I even find myself referring to this thread to refresh my memory on what I did and how. I hope everyone else finds it just as useful. Zig, just for you, I have a GMC ratrod coming to the shop tomorow.
Yiiipiiiao Not only Zig is waiting for that one!!! You´re doing a great job, as seen so far, can´t wait, how this GMC turns out. Thanks for taking the extra time, to post all those pics
Update: He has been driving the snot out of it and has had no problems at all. That is what they are for isn't it?
I just read this complete thread. Awesome stuff. Thanks for documenting it all to help us out!! I am sure I will be coming back time and time again to reference something!!
Russ, I am having the same issue with my throttle linkage because of the boss being further back on the block. Any estimate as to how many inches you had to take out of the linkage? Thanks Slinger
I do not recall how much it was shortened. Position the carb linkage and bell crank, then make the pedal linkage fit.
