identifycation numbers

Hi,

do any of you know where I can find the ID numger for 64-66,
chevy engines so I can know the size of my engine is in my 1965, c-20.

it's on the front right(pass)of the block
next to the water pump

I found a number on the block which was one the rear of the block kind of by the starter the number was 399425T

It might have been 66


Can you tell me what engine it is. I dont think it is the orginal. The 3 in the number 399425T looked like a 3 but could have been an 8.
