Ignition Wiring

Hello Forum,

Just finished putting a new engine in my '58 after suffering a major fire under the hood. Have just installed a new ChevyDuty wiring harness as per the instructions they provide. Here's my problem.

I have installed a new HEI distributor, hence eliminating the coil and ignition resistor. Using the wiring diagram from ChevyDuty, it does not give me an HEI option for wiring nor does the tech dept have one for me. Has anyone made this change and used the ChevyDuty harness that can give me the proper wiring sequence? If so, I can be e-mailed at [email protected]

I have to start by saying that I'm only familiar with the 60-72 wiring.
BUT,, on those, the HEI can be successfully spliced into the PINK lead of the ignition switch.

I hope the 58 has the same color coding.
